Tennis Coaches Required

An exciting opportunity for full and part-time coaches

Tennis Works is looking for exceptional Tennis Coaches to operate within  our programmes at Stony Stratford Lawn Tennis Club (SSLTC) in  Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, helping us to ensure that SSLTC is the premier family club in the area providing competitive tennis to all abilities up to the highest county level. There is also the opportunity to participate in our schools outreach programme alongside this.

We are looking for Coaches who have experience and understanding in delivering quality development programmes to children aged 3 to 17 years of age. We are also looking for Tennis Professionals who can deliver the demanding requirements of an Adult Programme, catering for Beginners, Improvers, Intermediate and Advanced Players, as well as delivering Tennis Master-classes to SSLTC Team Players. These positions offer the opportunity to  coach to groups as well as on a one to one basis to both members of SSLTC and non-members.

The positions are offered on a self-employed basis under a Coaching Agreement. Full (25 hours plus) and  part-time (12 hours plus) positions are available, with the coaching time split equally between group programme and individual coaching.

The ideal candidate(s):

  • Qualified as a minimum to LTA Level 3, or international equivalent with LTA accreditation.
  • For the role of Performance Coach qualified to a minimum LTA Level 4 and of a good personal playing level, able to hit with competition level players of 7.1 rating and above.
  • LTA licensed and registered.
  • Hold Public liability insurance.
  • First Aid certified.
  • CRB checked.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Able to deliver high quality coaching sessions to students of all ages and abilities.
  • Good communication, organisational skills and high levels of personal professionalism.
  • A willingness to adapt, develop and share knowledge within the Tennis Works coaching team.
  • Motivated, punctual, reliable and self-disciplined.

The full programme operates from 5th September, however the successful candidates may be able to start in advance of this and participate in our Summer Camps Programme.
