2 Cross Court Forehand 1 Short Attacking Ball – Basket Feed

In this drill, players will work on consistency and shot selection under pressure. The goal is to hit two deep cross-court forehands to a target and then respond to a shorter attacking ball with precision and strategic options.

The drill: 

  • The coach feeds the first ball into the player’s forehand side.
  • The player returns two deep forehands aiming for the orange-marked target area on the opposite side of the court.
  • After the two cross-court forehands, the coach feeds a third ball, slightly shorter.
  • The player now has the option to either:
    • Hit a deep down-the-line forehand, or
    • Execute a cross-court angled shot.
