In high-level doubles, the difference between a winning pair and a struggling duo isn’t just shot-making—it’s the mastery of geometry and court positioning. This intensive seminar, led by Senior ITF Doubles Expert Nick Boys, is designed to help coaches move beyond basic drills and into the realm of elite tactical instruction. You will learn to deconstruct the complexities of the “Chess Match” at the net, providing your players with a modernised toolkit to shrink the court and dictate play. We will analyse the transition from the baseline to the non-volley zone, ensuring your athletes can neutralise heavy hitters and execute high-percentage patterns under pressure.

By the end of this intensive 3-hour seminar, you will be able to:

• Master the Art of Net Dominance: Implement specific movement patterns and “intercept triggers” that teach your players how to effectively poach and pressure opponents into unforced errors through aggressive positioning.

• Architect Strategic Formations: Confidently coach advanced serving and return shifts—including the I-Formation and Australian Formation—to disrupt the rhythm of opponents and secure the early tactical advantage.

• Develop the “Third Ball” Mentality: Train your players to look beyond the initial return of serve, focusing on the crucial “Third Ball” transition to move efficiently from the backcourt to the net and end points with authority.
