A Specialised Seminar for Tennis Professionals to Move Beyond ‘Good Shot’

In modern tennis coaching, the biggest gap between an average session and a breakthrough lies in the quality of communication. Are your words adding value, or are they just “filler”? This seminar is built on the Coaching Communication Framework—a data-driven approach designed to help you objectively analyze and overhaul your on-court dialogue. We will move past repetitive, non-contextual feedback and introduce a system for delivering constructive corrections, specific praise, and high-intensity cues that accelerate player development and foster deeper rapport.

By the end of this intensive 3-hour seminar, you will be able to:

1. Implement the P-C-P Model (Positive-Constructive-Positive): Learn to structure difficult feedback using the “Sandwich Ratio” to maintain player confidence while delivering clear, actionable corrections that drive problem-solving.
2. Audit and Minimise “The Dead Zone”: Identify and track your personal frequency of “Non-Contextual Filler” (e.g., “Good shot,” “Try again”) and replace it with Active Instruction that builds your players’ tactical intelligence and technical understanding.
3. Integrate Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Cues: Master the art of balancing high-intensity discipline with empathy and well-timed humour, ensuring your tone strengthens rapport and “buy-in” without undermining the session’s focus.
